***If you are not an FR/EMR Instructor yet, you will do 2 weekends, 1st weekend will be fundamentals of Instruction, 2nd weekend will go into FR+EMR specialty.***
Red Cross First Responder Instructor / Emergency Medical Responder Instructor
Pre-requisites for 14-16 hr Upgrade:
Have current (Red Cross) First Responder (FR3) certificate or higher Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Proof of current Red Cross First Aid Fundamentals of Instruction completion, if not the first weekend of the schedule is set aside for that
Preferred current BCEMA FR3 License (or in the process of getting) or higher (BC EMA EMR/PCP/ACP/CCP)
Minimally be 19 years of age
For the Full course - pre-requisites:
Have current (Red Cross) First Responder (FR3) certificate or higher Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Preferred current BCEMA FR3 License (or in the process of getting) or higher (BC EMA EMR/PCP/ACP/CCP)

Recertification:
To be re-certified you will have to proof that the following is in place, so please read below and show to the Instructor Trainer before class start:
You must have taught three courses in the last three years of which two can be a Standard First Aid with CPR, but then at least one course needs to be at the level that re-certification is wanted for. For example if you have taught two SFA in the last three years and one First Responder course. This means you will be able to re-certify for First Responder Instructor. If the highest level was the EMR course, re-certification can be obtained for Emergency Medical Responder Instructor level.
